Currently using a WWS based amazon. Planning on acquiring a windforce or faith bow soon. However, I dunno if I should rebuild the Amazon or can this build be effectively molded for the better bow. Main point of debate is multishot-strafe-criticalstrike points.

Feasible or not?

I currently have:

20 in Strafe
20 in Valk
20 in Penetrate
1 in every other passive/magic skills
1 in every other arrow skills outside the 3 fire skills.

I am planning to level to about 21 more skillpoints.

Once I'll get the uber bow I have 2 options. The first one is to put 10 points in multishot and rest into critical strike/pierce (using razortail). The second one is to fully rebuild the Zon with the following lay out:

20 Multishot
20 Valk
20 Penetrate
9 Pierce
10 Critical strike

This zon is for PvM and is going for base vit pump dex approach. The biggest question is: How big is the difference between level 10 multishot and 20 multishot in killing speed and how helpful is getting pierce/critical strike to high levels now that the uber deadlystrike from WWS is non-existent?

20 Multi is way too much. Just dump a few in there until you get a decent spread, then spend the remaining points in Crit/Pierce as you see fit.

I would rebuild both zons. My problem of course is being a perfectionist at zon making in D2.

My current WWS zon is godly lvl 93 pvm by any stretch of the imagination and I still want to rebuild her to make her better.

Then it would be time for my next project, a WF build.

I found this really helpful.

@konfeta: I think you dont have to rebuild if you are going to use WF. Equipment-wise using WF needs considerably more IAS but skill-wise it's about the same. Once again don't max multi. Put more in critical strike since you lose DS from WWS. If you use faith you should rebuild since you require much less penetrate then and CS should be maxed.

As long as your zon has/can get the str to equip a WF/Faith, I don't see any need to rebuild.

I basically did the same thing recently, had a WWS-strafer (upped Shael-NEF) for whom I finally found a WF. My main stats were similiar to yours except:

I had about 4 points in each of the passive defense, critical strike, penetrate (beyond what the +skills provide, the returns diminish too rapidly to bother adding more to them). I put a few points into Decoy, just so I didn't have to recast my Valk too often. I think I ended up with 12 or so points here after the +skills are added in.

I didn't put much into multishot. For me, I use it most when I'm firing down a hallway so I don't need all that much in it. In 98% of situations, strafe is far superior. I pretty much waited until I had nowhere else that I wanted to put points that I added points beyond the first one to this skill.

The biggest change I saw was in regards to the amp damage. Unless you keep the WWS on switch to set off amp damage, you'll need to get an Atmas amulet (thats what I did). Unless you keep some source of Amplify, you may be better off staying with the WWS.

Final note, I still can't kill Hell Baal in under 15 minutes :(

I largely agree with AFRathawk, but I just wanted to add a few comments. Due to the speed difference, lack of resists, and strength requirment, I would think that rebuilding for a WF would be very difficult. However, switching to Faith bow should not be very difficult. It's even faster and the strength difference can be offset with a high stat torch. You will need an Atma's Scarab and a few more resist charms, but your other gear should be pretty much the same. Good luck.
