Minus to enemy light resistance question

I hope this is the right forum. So I am happily killing things with my Light Sorc plus Infinity merc (it feels like using a cheat lol) and suddenly a question arrises:


What does:

-(45-55)% To Enemy Lightning Resistance (varies)

actually mean?


Does it have a radius or does it only apply to the very same mob my merc is attacking atm? It is hard to tell because things die so fast even in a 3 player hell cows game.

It only applies to your merc. So, the mobs he attacks has less light res, but even if you attack the same guy at the same time, they still have the same res vs you.
