I used to use wartravs for the extra damage, they helped me leach more. I sometimes use goreriders. I was planning on switching to 15/15 treks but then saw that shadow dancers have 10 more frw and fhr and +25 stat points on perf ones. I don't think that look as cool at eth treks but that's my preference.
What do you guys use on your javazons and please leave some sort of argument on why you think yours is the best choice. It really comes down to whether or not I'm going to hit different fhr/frw breakpoints or not, but also I'm curious.

I use War Travs. A little big of extra damage for leeching is always nice; the strength bonus is cool, and the MF is always a good thing to have.
Travs, for the above reasons. These, plus Tgods, Titans, give me the strength boost to equip a Monarch shield :wink3: This is SOP.
i was using aldur's boots.
40 frw
50 fire resist
50 life
this is only a good plan if you need fire resist though.

If i have javazon, I would use frw-trires boots, those are best , no competition

Again my curiousity piques me, Fred would you mind posting a s/s of those boots. Also, Tings I didn't think of aldur's boots, I bet those help a lot making up for Spirit's lack of fire res assuming you are using spirit.

Nobody has mentioned Silkweave. Since Titan's Revenge deals relatively little physical damage to make your leech effective at regaining the mana spent from one casting of Lightning Fury, a better option would be + To Mana After Each Kill items. Silkweave offers the following:
+150-190% Enhanced Defense (varies)
30% Faster Run/Walk
+5 To Mana After Each Kill
Increase Maximum Mana 10%
+200 Defense VS. Missile
Say an average group of cows consists of 15. If you kill them all in one casting of Lightning Fury, that's 75 points of mana regained. That will more than compensate for Lightning Fury's mana cost. I'd say this is a better alternative to mana leech.

Well with an soj or 2 you can trade for a nice boot like this on classic ladder. If i upgraded to xpac, it would go to xpack ladder, how many hr's would a boot like this be?
Fred
I don't think you can "upgrade" to xpack with your classic account
I also use Aldurs on my lvl 88 javazon. But silks is a good idea. Maybe my girl will try them on for size. She has no mana problems, though.

If you have the xpac installed and still choose to play classic, you can upgrade classic ladder chars to xpac ladder by pressing "Convert to LOD"

Depends are they 30+res each? A fair amount I'm sure. If I had to guess blind I'd say 3-10 hrs depending on the type of boots/defense/res.
If you go from classic ladder to xpac, they will become nl.

I don't think this is true. I converted my barb and sorc last ladder and they remained on ladder.

Well on NL you will have to compete with some nice duped rares so they would have to be really nice to even get noticed.
I'm really surprised no one uses treks! I really thought 15/15 eth treks would be a good choice but seeing how not a single other person uses them maybe I'm way off base. Is it just that they are really expensive/hard to find, or that the boots you guys listed work much better for your build of javazon?

actually, i was wearing highlord's wrath, stormshield, and death's gloves (quiet, you). it does have the same issue as spirit though. lack of fire resist.
if you convert a ladder character, it stays ladder. i have done glitch rushes like this before. rush in classic, the convert to lod.

I use Treks, not too many things have poison resist like them. You stay green for a lot less time on baal runs. :prop:

I think treks are the best unique javazon boots, but obviously a strong case can be made for wartravs. However since I am a LF/CS zon I really don't think goreriders are necessary. Some rare boots can spawn with better stats or resists, if you are looking for either of those.

I'm pretty sure my old javazon used waterwalks.
