uh, wtf, been realm down/temp banned from bnet before, always for quick entrances/exits from games but its only been for like 30min-1hr in the past. Im going on 4 hours banned now:censored: , is this normal?? Regardless, it seems a bit excessive, particularly since it never seems to stop those spambots....

Yes, it is odd that these unintelligent spam bots seem capable of avoiding this realm down feature, where others continue to struggle, isn't it :wink3:

Some believe that the more often you get a realm down, the longer each subsequent realm down will last. While four hours does seem like quite awhile, it's not even close to the longest realm down that someone has experienced. I think someone was off for a couple of days at some point?

I'd recommend trying to avoid the realm downs, rather than hoping that in the event you get one, it'll only last a hour.

And if you do get one, take a half an hour break to do something else before even trying to log in again. If you're patient and wait, most Realm Downs only last 20 minutes or so, constantly trying to log in every 5 minutes just makes it worse.

You could also try refreshing your IP. That works for some people I hear.

This is kinda true. It depends on how how many realm downs you get in one day. If it is your 3rd or 4th realm down in one day then each one gets longer. Also if you keep checking to see if you are no longer realm down and it turns out u are then it adds realm down time. At least this is what I noticed from my experiences since I learned so much about realm down when I was trying to get an Annilus. After that one anni I never bother to search for ip ever again.
