It gives a passive 5% increase in AR for each pont you put. Note that this doesn't increase your total AR, just the base.

The only build i can think of that would pump BA for added ar would be a ranger, on any other builds its a waste

What about a PvM Clegalot? I thought you went with Blessed Aim for the passive AR bonus after maxing Zeal, Fanat, Holy Shield and Sacrifice in your miniguide thread here: http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=386326

I did, but thats only b/c i had no other place to put pnts. Adding to it when there are more important skills are a waste. Meh. It really didnt help out that much

are there any other 'hidden' skills like that?
I think barb's weapon masteries give 1% of double damage per level?

I guess you mean Critical Strike, I usually max mine in the end when I have my end game weapon. But some say never more than 5 points due to declineing returns. Kinda like CM on a Sorc. You know, don't go past 17, it really isn't worth it type of thing.

There's also hidden bonuses for defiance towards holy shield defense (i think), as well as for points into the three resist auras (fire, lit, cold) give + to max resist without aura needing activated.

The Resist auras give a passive addition to max resists as follows: for every two hard points in one of them, your max resist in that goes up by one. So a paladin with 2 in Resist Cold has 76 max resist, and a pally with 20 in Resist Cold, Resist Fire, and Resist Lightning (Avenger, perhaps) would have 85 max resists in cold, fire and lightning.
