Hi all

I am planning to build a zealot with smite backup for killing the uber and general PvM
Skills are pretty standard :
20 Zeal
20 Fanaticism
20 Holy Shield
1 Smite ??
1 Defiance ??
1 in preqs

Gear
Weapon Grief Zerker (low one 33 ias/355 damage)
Shield upped Herald of Zakarum (pdiamond)
Gloves Draculs
Helm Guilemae (with jevel of fervor to hit last zeal breakpoint)
Armor Duress archon
Boots Gores Upped
Amulet Highlord
Belt Verdungos
Rings Raven//Raven or Raven//resists ring
Paladin torch 11/13

It sums up to
65 % cb
68 % open wounds
~80 % DS
75 % Block

I am not sure about the resists I definietly need more and I really don’t see equipment slots to change.
He will be very good in regular PvM but I think that ubers will tear me into pieces.
Resist charms ??
Also I have to decide what to do with remaining skill points
Defiance or Smite or Sacrifice
Help really required here.

Here (http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=425449), a very good guide that may help you. I have a lvl 90 zealot similar to the one outlined by kingdryland. I am still gathering wealth to make a Grief pb because I find Griefz to be a bit slow when zealing.
As for the ubers, the only general who will give you problems is Lilith, I was thinking to use a Stormshield when fighting her. For Uber Meph try switching to Salvation to at least partially counter his Conviction aura, then namelock-smite him (it?). You should try to have 75|max res in hell (I know people with enough stacking to be able to face meph w/o Salvation), which I am working on at the moment. As always, once Meph is gone, Fanaticism on and namelock-Smite on UB and UD.
In the guide you will read that maxing sacrifice is a good idea to boost your zeal damage, I am currently increasing Defiance for Sinergy to Holy Shield. Even if I have crappy AR, I think that it is not a real issue anymore: if you use zeal, you are using an itd weapon anyway, if you meet enemies who negate itd, you just smite away.
