Help please-will it even work?

Hey, I just got back into Diablo II so I forget a bunch of stuff, mainly all the stuff I need to know. I'm trying to make a new pally build cuz I never made one before. I want to make my main atk blessed hammer/fist of the heavens, with my aura probably being mediation or thorns. I'm thinking of putting hammer(s) on going into battle w/ fist and using thorns for mass rape or meditation to keep up my mana depending on whether the items I WILL have will suffice. So a few things-one, will this build even work or is it just too idealistic? Two-what items should I get for it? I really don't know any specific names eh. Three I plan on being a team healer using holy bolt or prayer (not sure if this would really work) while I'm waiting for higher level spells. The main problem I am finding is that the pts are spread too thin. Any help would be appreciated here please!:grin:

If you want to use hammer, just use a hammerdin :tongue: (a.k.a. lamerdin because it's one of the most cookie cutter and overpowered build in the game):
20 hammer
20 concentration (use as main aura to boost hammerdin damage)
20 vigor (synergy for increasing hammer damage)
20 blessed aim (synergy for increasing hammer damage)

With minimal gear, you will do well in hell. And it is "party friendly" in the sense of everything will be dead. Your concentration aura will also boost physical attack damage.

Other auras are worth 0~1 point on a hammerdin.

Holy bolt and prayer are useless unless you massively sink into it, which will make you rather incapable of dealing damage to anything except the undead.
