How come somepeople havea a red wirts leg. I know it is because of the wrong difficutly, but some have mods like 10% fcr and life leech. How do you get one?

My guess would be the Charsi Imbue quest in Act 1
Yeah sometimes you can get +skills from imbueing the leg lol

Pay no attention to the garbage equipment and low-level runes. This was my sorceress when she was young... :embarassed:
On single player, if you have some sort of program that can hack into your NON-REALM characters and mess around with their inventory, you can make all sorts of weird items... I made a grey "Immortal King's Stone Crusher Wirt's Leg" :laugh:

Ok, i just found a red wirts leg in Tristram while playing Hell difficulty. Im still in Hell as of now.
How can I upload a file? Got 2 screenshots to show you.
What does it do? Is it just a bug?
Its just imbueing a weapon. The higher your Clvl the better the mods (I imbued one at lvl 85, 300% Ed, +2 Barb Combat Skills, 1 Socket, 12 str, repair durability. I should have upgraded it, but I dint...

And impossible, since +3 to a skill tab can't spawn on rares. :tongue:
You can get any mod on Wirt's Leg as a rare that a club of the same level could. As for it being red, generally that's because you picked up the leg in one difficulty level then went to another.

I believe there was several screenshots posted on these forums. And I imagine you can upgrade it, since you can upgrade the horadric staff, the hellforge hammer, and khalim's will - they all upgrade to a hand axe, then up from there.

my paladins name is WirtProsthetics ..... i personalized a wirts leg once and sold it for an hr. -.- WirtProsthetics' Wirt's Leg ..... thats like sera's old "Harlequin's" Harlequin Crest Shako. gg if u ask me.

If wirt's leg is red it means it was brought into a difficulty level from a different difficulty level, and cannot be used there to make the cow portal. Same goes with Mephisto's Soulstone. If you bring it in from Normal to NM it will be red.

I think you mean qlvl for Ilvl. Base item types have qlvls, and an imbue will always set the ilvl to the character level of the imbuing character + 4. See the Item Generation Tutorial (http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=392254) for more background.
And if you did mean qlvl, it's actually backwards. Generally, higher affixes are easier to get on lower qlvl items. So it's easier to find a +2 pally kite shield than a +2 pally grim shield, for example, because there are far more monsters that can drop the former. This is one reason why upgrading rares throws things out of whack- you can get great affixes on a normal item, then upgrade it, perhaps twice, to have a fantastic item. But even those items are likely to be less overpowered than elite uniques and runeword items...

i put a vex rune once into my leg, i was devistated, now i dont keep gems/jewels/ runes especially near any socketables

btw you can't make runewords in wirts leg =( found that out the hard way (would have been a pretty cool one, though). and i think trying it doesn't make the cow level any better, either, lol
i can't wait to try imbuing one for myself though!
