View Full Version : Why does zeal not work all the time?

Got a lvl 48 zealot and I am constantly frustrated when I dont get the 5 hits out of zeal despite been surrounded by monsters or when against an act boss. Instead I just get a single blow per click of the mouse. This doesn't happen all the time but frequent enough to get me annoyed :sad2:

Is this a know bug?

If I remember correctly, the theory behind this bug is that zeal can only attack on the cardinal points (north, south, east, west, north-east, north-west, south-east and south-west). If you attack somewhere between, then you'll only attack once.

Yes this occures with enough mana to perform zeal.

If this is the case I hope they fix it in the next patch coz it really sucks and has resulted in my pallyz death more than once.

Im not to sure about this, but i have played alot of zealers and it always seemed to me that if the first hit misses the rest of the swings wont happen. So not till the first hit lands will the rest trigger.

Again, i have played alot of zealers, but im in no way a D2 stat expert, so i could easily be wrong about this.

It also occurs when the zealer hits.

Can you give a more detailed description?

2 simple solutions:
1) Move a little.
2) Don't use range 1 weapons.

The only time that I have experienced an one hit swing zeal is when the monster is escaping.

Only hits once while your at an odd angle or the monster is running away

This happens to me when the target monster is hardly in range:

I have a (typical zealot weapon) short ranged weapon equipped, like heaven's light; it has a range of (correct me if im wrong) 1 or 2. the monster isnt next to me, but i can hit him/her but only once. This usually happens against diablo or other big freaks.

The solution (for me): move a little closer... thats all; stick close to your target. Or if you are in a mob, chose another one, which is closer to you.
