Character Builds that you enjoy

Pity it's not really a poll... but I'll try to contribute.

I prefer the passive characters. Summoners of both druid and necro forms, trap assassins, LF zons... things that don't have to target in order to kill. I even prefer the ones than don't even need to click. There are those out there on the complete opposite end of the spectrum that need specialized key board layouts to make their characters playable. I can't stand that.

I voted for the Cold dmg, rapid hitters, magic dmg and poison dmg.
Blizz sorc for cold, smiter and ww barb for rapid, bonenecro for magic and poison necro for poison.

I enjoy many different builds. However, many I haven't tried, or fully played.

I like to vote all, but I don't like poison based builds (never like the idea to deal couple of million damage over couple years!), and cannot aim the hammer, don't like most of the "one hit" group (saving leaper).

Where is the Durf option, you know the rule: no poll is complete without Durf.

Cold damage builds (FA zon)
Magic damage builds (zerker, bonemage, MA zon)
Rapid hitters (fury WW, strafer)
Summoners (skellymancer/overlord, druid summoner)

I know I could have voted for more, but I placed my vote on the lightning chars, in particular, the light trapsin and the lightning sorc. Both are two current and favorite characters of mine.

I really like the rapid hitters. WW druids and zealots have alwas been some of my favorites.

Interesting options, they all have build that I think are Ok and builds I dislike but Lightning chars and rapid hitters have the best ratio for me. Also good because it points me towards a few other build to try (fury and WW).

I voted for

Lightning: I like the way it bounces off of walls. Its silly, but hey...
Poison: these are fun, particularly in the flayer jungle -but once you get to Hell they are hard to play
Rapid Hitters: Always fun, putting monsters into constant hit recovery is a great defense
Spammers: I've enjoyed the Boltress and the Hammerdin

I voted for:

Fire: Not as strong as a lightning spell but more consistent, and in my eyes just as powerful. Not as great at taking out large packs, but it's better against smaller packs I think.

Cold: Shattering act bosses is fun...

Summoner: Fun for lazy days :smiley:

You left out Avengers in that catagory. Well, the way I build avengers, they are one hit wonders that is for sure. 10 kay average damage anybody?

Cold dmg: Oh how I love the crowd control cold dmg provides. I planned to use cold for all my secondary attacks, despite the relatively low dmg compared to fire/lightning, and even though I might now use other elements for the killing, cold has to be there somewhere. Even my melee characters have some sort of tiny cold dmg. I'm a huge fan of HF mercs, and Blizzard just pwns!

Lightning dmg: I'm eagerly and impatiently waiting to start my LF zon and lightning trapper. The only thing that delays those projects is... I can't find suitable names for them :rolleyes:

Rapid Hitters: Fanazealot is enough, but almost all the other builds there are either my ongoing projects, or those I'm looking forward to. What can I say, I'm not a patient guy!

Spammers: Whirlwind barb! :worship:

I like everything except summoners, basically.

I actually want to start trying some poison builds... I've used poison as a back-up, but never as a primary attack method. Too many current projects for now, though.
