I don't know if this has been posted here yet, but here's the bug (I've tested it twice):

assign skills to F1, F2, F3, etc.
move your mousewheel up and down really fast

Battle.net will kick you off and temporarily ban you.

Nope, that's how it's supposed to happen. By switching skills too quickly, you cause unnecessary server strain, and you'll get booted. Think of it along the lines of spamming.

I've also heard that clicking on a waypoint/NPC over and over in a repeated fashion will also get you temporarily booted.

The clicking on a NPC several times for gambling will not boot you from the game, I like to gamble my gold for craft and never been boted by b.net for that.

Yea, that's probably true. How many times did you click in a short timeframe? I mean, by the time you check the gambling inventory, bnet probably doesn't count it being fast enough.

Also, I just got booted recently from a game for putting in skill points too quickly (from a character that had saved up skill points). I tried to max a skill from 0 to 20 in constant clicking (though I do remember that shift-clicking probably would have done it for me). Stat points don't seem to trigger it though.

Never got dropped by putting skills in a char... nor by putting skills points... though i think it's possible to get dropped because of the input of skillspoints... a skill gets adjusted so i think they see that as changing skills... would make sense to me imo...
