Better option than Highlord's for 2x DC PvP WW barb?

I'm thinking there is a might be a amulet better option than Highlord's for a PvP WW barb using 2x Um'd DC's. I'm looking at the following gear, and mind you, this is single player.

Arreats
2x Um'd Death Cleavers (SS, Wizzies, Widow in stash)
v1.07 Arkaine's Valor
2x Ravenfrost
Drac's
Verdungo's/T-God's
Up'd Gores
(Amulet)

Various steel/fine charms of sus/vita

I'm thinking the extra slot could be put to better use because the DS from the axes and gores, plus the mastery CS, is already gives a quite high percentage chance of doubled damage.

So what options do I have? I'll be dueling in hell, in a mostly non-tele environment (and there are very few enigma's in the spf). I could use a Cat's Eye for the dex and fr/w, or I could craft a blood amulet (up to 10% fr/w and life, plus the other stats). I could also permantly afix an angelic combo, but even then, I have a demon limb to make that up.

So what other options do I have (outside of angelics)?

Metalgrid or mara for resists wile dueling against high elemental dmg chars
matelgrid - defence, ar (this one is rarly used, but nice actualy)
mara - skills

Cat's Eye - good - saves dex and get U to run faster

But to be honest - hardly any of those can beat Highlord's or Angelic combo.

I'd warn you against using 2xdc but I have the feeling it would fall on deaf ears.

I'd go with metalgrid, more ar never helps.

Bear in mind that this is single player, so he wouldnt have access to uber runewords like BoTD or Grief.

unless you need to catch someone with cat's eye or need angelic combo to hit high defense no there is no better ammy than highlords

Well, he's been playing long enough to get a pair of dcs, so it's quite plausible that he's cubed up to a lo by now.

I'm not playing with the RWM, and I don't plan to. Grief is not an option, nor are any of the other Bnet-only RW's. BotD/Beast is not either. Those runewords are out there, but they are few and far between. Best PvP barb at the SPF (http://forums.diabloii.net/showpost.php?p=3693548&postcount=1)
As for runes in SP, yes, they are there, but Uniques (with some of the extreme top-end items) are much easier found than runes. And with the Single Player Trade Forum, that's where I picked up my 2x DC's, one for some steel rends, and a 274% for free from a retired player.

I was hoping to avoid getting max block, but seeing the number of casters in the SP dueling community, I can't avoid not going with the widowmaker. That brings the dex up significantly, which means I might as well go with max block. Thoughts? I know I only need it against WW barbs, but it would be nice to have.

Stormshield is the only shield you should consider so the only real question is what to socket it with. I don't feel like figuring out what you'll need for max block so I can't say anything deffinitively, but it really comes down to eld (more life) vs ed jewel (more damage).

But is there really a better option out there that isn't runeword based? Rare could be better (blood crafted zerker axe even) and the DS could slightly be made up with highlord's/gores. But still, DC's are a nicely packaged item.

Yes, but as has been said. Runewords are better.

Well if his weapons (2xDC) are a given then a highlord's is more or less useless, since he is using gores too and has his mastery's critical.

There are a number of other possibility for the socket, such as a 40ed jewel.
