Resist questions

just out of curiosity has anyone reached full resist in hell? If so what did you do to get it that high?

My poison necro has maxed resists. They come from:
umed shako
maras
trang shield&belt
resists sc
torch
anni
3 anya quests

full res on my zmiter...just lots of + all res gear (3 charms ~14 res all) rare vortex shield with ~30-40res all...helm with ~20+dex & 29 res all, 10 res all rings...etc

my summoner has close to ~60ish in all res

59res all pdiamond homunculus
45 from anya quests
26 from maras
20 from torch
19 from anni

but even with out torch and anni...i used to keep a few of the higher charms i found 29% cold res gc, 26% fire res gc, 15% light res lc...and these helped lots....

but you want to keep in mind that i don't really need that much res...at least not as a summoner...so i have sent most of my nice res charms to the zmiter.....jsut make sure you stay out of the wake when boss/champions explode and you should be fine (even at ~0 res)

You will need resists depending on the purpose of your build. For PvM, level of importance from highest to least is prolly lighting, cold/fire, poison

Wizardspike bone knife. People will call you a newb for using it in softcore, but it's not used so widely in hardcore for nothing. Ignore the masses & put it to good use. Also cheap to trade for. Heart of the Oak is great also if you can afford more higher end items.
