View Full Version : Looking for Cheap Fury Build
Hi, one of my friends recently started playing D2, and he is planning to make a Fury Druid for PvM.
I haven't played a Fury Druid myself since 1.09, and although I assume not too much has changed, I was wondering if I could get some input on Skills and Gear.
The werewolf guides in the stickied thread were either resulting in error messages or listed a lot of items my friend can't afford right now.
Summary:
-Skills? Max wolf, lycanthropy, oak sage and Fury. Remaining points? Secondary skill? Feral rage perhaps?
-Gear? No individual equipment piece over 20 pgems please.
Thanks so much.

easiest route for a pvm oriented fury druid is to try getting the full immortal kings set, minus the helm. subsititute jalals for that.
if you cant get that, try to get either a windhammer or a ribcracker, make a smoke runeword armor (nef lum) use gores or goblin toes, and the rest is up to you - go for leech and resistances.

Good advice - for your 20 pgem limit, I'd go for :
Ribcracker
Jalal's if you can swing it, something like rockstopper/tal helm/guilla's face if you can't
Spirit Shroud
life leech ring
bloodfists
angelic combo
goblin toes/tearhaunch
string of ears
This setup will take you into low end Hell, and with patience, even mid hell. If you can get someone you trust to help you out, you can manage to make your way to hell Hellforge, and between NM and Hell forges, hope for a Um.
If you get that Um, make yourself a Duress armor. Shael Um Thul, gives 150-200 enhanced defense, open wounds, crushing blow, 15 res all, 45 total cold res, and a few other mods. BEAUTIFUL armor. You can keep your strength low and make it in a Dusk.
If you get this, definately use tearhaunch, your resists will probably need it. Other options for rings/ammy are to use a low ravenfrost and a mahim-oak curio. Your attack rating will be fine.
Once you've upgraded to Duress, look at upgrading that ribcracker. If you're on Ladder, this can be done literally - an upped shaeled ribcracker is an awesome weapon, and should be able to carry you well. You won't end up godly with this setup, but you'll be able to manage, and the build can be a lot of fun.
Skills :
20 werewolf
20 lycanthropy
20 fury
20 oak sage
1+ feral rage
Rest to flavor

I can go cheaper then ik set. disapules full set, jalals, ravenfrost, and a mana leech ring. Get a shealed b-star and titmats rebuke. Or you can just use any 2 handed weapon that at least gets a 5fps fury. You can beat hell by your self with this set up.
