PVM Frenzy Barb question..

Hey All,

As the title says this is purely PVM. Anyway, I was thinking of making a frenzy Barb with duel Nord's Tenderizers due to the low str/dex reqs and decent (obviously not uber) damage output. Before I do, I got a couple questions:

1. How do you think these weapons will do in Hell? Sufficent?

2. What Armor? I figure I will make a runeword in a Light Archon Plate, maybe CoH, Fortitude, or Duress... which would be best?

3. Last question :laugh: Helm: 2 socketed CoA or a Gullimes Face? Figure I can go duel Um or Ber or a combo in the CoA.

Thanks in advance. Any weapon or other armor suggestions are welcome. Even some unique/Elite armors shouldnt be too hard to aquire.

Well, I would say go with the CoH for body armor for the resists. That and you still get the +2 all skills. Since you plan on going to hell, the resists will help greatly.

barbs don't need CoH

too much res, not enough defense and no worthwhile offensive mods

stick with fort or duress if you can afford them (which i assume you can)

dual nords are alright but expect to crawl in multiplayer solo hell even with a might merc

those weapons have low physical damage and no crushing blow

Try a botd ba and a beast

Also try Forti much better than CoH or durress

of course botd will be good too.
And yes, fort is the ultimate melee armor.

For PvM, dual Stormlashes > everything else.

Ty all for the info, but I forgot I am non ladder so no forti for poor me :( Ah well, duress is fine too :)

If you are looking for cheap mace class weapons,take look at horizon's. For more expensive,Stormlash is great option of course, schaefer's isn't bad either, stone crusher will work too,just watch your speed. Optimun could be a beast caduceus and a stormlash...
