Is there anything better for a act 2 might merc then:

Infinity

50% Chance To Cast Level 20 Chain Lightning When You Kill An Enemy
Level 12 Conviction Aura When Equipped
+35% Faster Run/Walk
+255-325% Enhanced Damage (varies)
-(45-55)% To Enemy Lightning Resistance (varies)
40% Chance of Crushing Blow
Prevent Monster Heal
0.5-49.5 To Vitality (Based on Character Level)
30% Better Chance of Getting Magic Items
Level 21 Cyclone Armor (30 Charges)


For a fishy? I mean CB, PMH, MF, Aura...........................

CB, huge edmg, resists, +defence, FHR.... What more could u want? With this in an elite ethereal weapon, ur merc can easily get over 1,1k dmg. Not to mention the fact that HelKoThulEthFal are way easier to get hold of than BerMalBerIst. Just the wep for infinity will cost u ~mal, & for a summoner why would u want a conviction aura anyway? Coz thats all your paying for really.

Conviction
Required Level: 30
Prerequisites: Might [1], Thorns [6], Holy Fire [6], Holy Freeze [18], Sanctuary [24]


Effect: Reduces enemy Defense and the Resistances of monsters.


It is fearsome enough to behold the power of a Paladin, let alone a Paladin aglow with the aura of Conviction. This halo of righteousness demonstrates, with force, the grim determination of those who shine within its brilliance. Any who stand against the Paladin and his allies will understand the meaning of folly.
This aura does not lower an enemy's magic or poison resistance. Conviction will remove immunities which will allow you or your party members to damage monsters that were previously untouchable with immunities. There is a cap of -150% resistance and you will not be able to remove some monster's immunities in hell level.


The only benefit you will get from conviction is for your mages & a reduction in enemy defence, not worth it in my opinion for the cost, & then hardly anything against immunes anyway.

I tend to prefer 'Insight' in an Eth Elite Poleaxe. That meditation aura pretty much let you spam CE or BS forever. Plus it's cheap as hell.

I'd go with Pride for fishy. That Concentration aura is too sexy to be ignored.

depends on what you need (some are better for summoners...others for spammers like boners or psn)

Pride lvl 16-20 conc aura couple this with a might merc and you have massive +dmg (triple from base? i forget must use calc later)
Insight lvl 10-17 meditation aura: massive mana regen
Doom lvl 12 holy Freeze, can get the benefits of might and holy freeze (though i think there are better choices out there)
infinity lvl 12 conviction aura (helps if you're a psnanacer, or have tons of mages...also maybe worth slapping a dream helm on your merc now too =)...)

Not really, convincion does NOT lower poison resistance. Useless for poison necro.

Have you ever tried using Amp + CE + Conviction? Incredible. And we all know that CE is the main killer for a summoner.

My merc uses a decent gaze, 300% ed fort and a pretty nice obedience.

at lvl 86 he does 10k max damage with his might aura & after the lvl 21 enchant activates. Pretty sick. Insight was nice but really not that necessary for my necro. I just grab some mana potions & go.

I'd definitely like to try putting a pride on him though

i agree..if i was to go with act 2 merc

id got with

gaze (or something with good dr/LL)
Pride (conc on 40+ minions gg) :grin:
Bramble (fort is nice with 25-30 all res and +300%dmg...but extra aura for all 40+ minions is better methinks)

and i still wouldn't mind giving a beast zerker a try :thumbsup: (after summoning wonder if this means i have to give up my CTA:scratch: )

i keep aokl and wiz spike in my cube. i have the beast as my primary weapon and cta on switch.

my routine:

go to frigid
let merc kill some monsters
summon skellies and mages with aokl
BO
pull out the wizard spike for fcr + resists and tele to where i want to go
maybe another bo if needed
pull out the beast and go at it

sounds like a lot but it really isn't at all.

i'd like to try a dream/pride/bramble combo on my merc. would all of those auras be in effect at the same time or is there a limit?

my bramble dream/dream overlap...id imagine itd be bramble/dream/pride/might for you...monster 4 auras! +beast...you'll rock!

although without dream/dream stacking glitch it may not be as worth it....
