Can an IK Conc Barb succeed against the ubers?

If so, what would he need to do it.

I have the full IK set and a Ravenfrost and Angelic Ammy/Ring combo on a level 85 Conc Barb.

I have not attempted yet but was thinking of it. What would you suggest as options/ideas for charms/jewelry?

Probably won't work, but if you're going to attempt it anyway you'll need decently stacked resists (to counter the -125%) and a life tap wand.

I have decent resists with charms. I currently have only 3700 or so life and am actively looking/shopping for a life tap wand.

He is set up for MF with charms, but for this I thought about swapping out MF charms for more +Life/Max dam charms.

Damage now with IK Maul is 3500-5800.

Is 4000 life enough? 4500?

4k should be enough.

Your damage comes primarily fom Crushing Blow, of which you will only have 35-40%, not to mention that you won't have any Open Wounds, so it'll take quite a while to take out each boss.

Lure 'em out one at a time. Make judicious use of Howl when you start to get swarmed. Recast Life Tap often. Let us know how it goes. :grin:

40% cb is enough for ubers but you'll have to um that ik maul for open wounds...Generally there are way better gear options for ubers,and they aren't even expensive.

you mean 5.5-6.5k life regen/sec, right?

i agree though, this is sort of a lost cause. make a simple CB smiter to get your ubers :)

The Ubers regen rate is %based or fixed value ?

iirc its based on their base life (ie some % based on 4000 for a monster with 2000/4000 hp), and its fixed.

Should I socket my maul with UM UM? I currently have one with 2 Shael for speed. What about an UM BER combo in the Maul? Would that fair any better?

Is there any other way to get OW or CB through jewelry/jewels?

I am still getting keys together to attempt this. It's a slow go, so I have time to still tweak my guy for this run.

Id imagine a couple of poison sc's in your inventory would negate the life regen (doesnt being poisoned set life regen to 0?) Correct me if im wrong.

I do have some Poison charms. (2 +90 poison SC) and a +197 Poison large charm. Is that enough? or is there a minimum amount of poison damage needed to negate regeneration. If so, will my 35-40% CB from the Maul be enough?

It may take a bit longer, but it's doable.

Will I be able to isolate Meph and take him down by himself? I've never been to the ubers so I'm going in "blind".

It is pretty easy to lure Meph out while leaving the other two alone. Just beware of Mephs Conviction aura. And keep in mind that sometimes the game lags a little as Meph spawns and runs out at you.
