uh, may have made that term up:tongue:
Been several months since I made a summoner, and I'm thinking of trying a build I heard of a long time ago, where you're basically a fishymancer relying on an act 1 merc wearing bramble and edge, coupled with your amp for massive returned damage. I'd probably wear a beast as well, but I'd like to hear how ppl who've tried the build have found it, and whether it's horribly slow for killing archers, mages and just generally high hit point creatures like pit lords in hell.

Thx 4 any replies:flowers:

yes it is very slow, if monsters dont do good dmg its hard to kill them. You could best use revives as summons to kill the ones that dont kill themselves, and to get the dmg returned. It would probably work, but not 100%sure

Last_Zodiac just did a recent guide on this (another guide is the televangelist by rickcarson irc)

i must say i used a build very similar to this and i kill very quickly...boses (andy/meph) go down in 10-20 secs...diablo in 20-30 secs....(casting amp only...damage returned is massive....)

however i use and act3 merc with bramble/spirit (want to up to lawbringer for sanc aura)

slow for killing archers/caster...so a boss like baal takes about 3mins to kill (which is a long time to just stand around casting amp/decrep...)...but casters are usually pretty weak so one CE usually takes out the rest of the pack...

its very fast and effective...especially with tele
