bone spear VS bone spirit

i'm thinking of starting a bonemancer, never really tried it. I was wondering the differences between these skills, dmg wise especially...

Apparently bone spirit is slow, and does it hit multiple targets?

Bone spirit only hits one target, bone spear on the other hand passes through it's targets. When I played a bonemancer a while ago I found it better to use bone spear especially after getting a White (Dol-Io runeword) wand with +8 to bone spear because the damage was very close to that of my bone spirit and it could hit more targets. At first the bone spirit damage is higher but I found that later on after synergies the damage of both was close, I even had my bone spear do more damage with the White wand.

but it dosen't track like spirit...


i use spear alsmot exclusively (though i have both maxed for synergies)
