Insight Iron Golem?

Has anyone ever tried to make an Insight Iron Golem with Metalgrid? Is it viable? I thought that since the golem would gain the Meditation aura, you can give your mercenary Infinity. A sorceress with both those auras at the same time would be a killer, but I am not sure if the golem would last very long. The last thing I want is for it to die as soon as I stop teleporting. That would be just a complete waste of the Insight :undecided:.

that depends on a lot of things, I would think, such as how fast you kill, and a lot on your merc also. if you use a defiance merc that would help a lot, I'm sure. also, your golem won't be doing that much damage, so he won't be that much of a target. Insights are cheap regardless, if you can keep a good supply of the polearms coming

You can't keep Golem when leave game. Only Skill IG will remains with you, and not from items such has Metal Grid. Unless you're willing to make one every game.

That must be the reason why I have never seen a sorc do it... Oh well, I guess we learn something everyday.

ya I tried this, it's really cool while the iron golem is around, but when you leave the game it sucks. Traded that metalgrid right away.

Just out of curiosity, would it work? I could see Bone Necros using it if it did...

Yes it would. I made an iron golem from an eth stoneraven. Pretty etheral-golem.
