Low-Cost Mfer

I have just started playing on east again and i would like suggestions for the best mf sorc to start out with. I have some friends that can give me low items, and i need to know the best setup that is easily affordable.

In my opinion the best would be a pure fire (Fireball/Meteor) or Blizzard, as those are single-tree builds with a LOT of synergies. I built a Meteorb, and had found that it's difficult to use a Meteorb without relatively good gear. I'll need a Tal's armor for the sorc to survive! Meanwhile I'm only dishing out 3.5-4k FB damage.

All Blizz (with syns.) Sorc and the best gear you have at the MOMENT with over 60 FCR. to start meph runs.
As you aquire better gear, upgrade and trade for end game stuff.
