Lets get straight to it, my Merc is carrying Insight 15 Aura and doses 2000+ dmg, Tal Mask and Griswold Armor. How come he dies so so damn fast? He NO chance against Meph what so ever!:undecided:

Next problem, is it just me or are drops just getting worse and worse? I am even having problems just finding Uniqe items lowww lvl items, and even the Rare ones seem to be dropping less and less.. Or am I just on a bad luck streak..

The answer to your first question would be that bosses deal extra damage to hirlelings and summons. 4 or 8 times the damage, i think.

To the second, it's just bad luck.

A big problem for your merc is that Meph cannot be leeched from, except he suffers from the lifetap curse. In addition, act bosses get a huge attack bosses versus mercs.

Mercs aren't meant to kill anything. They are meant to provide some aura or other beneficial effect (and if it's just keeping enemies away from you) and stay alive while you are killing the enemies. There should be very few exceptions to that rule. If he can't do that job for certain tasks (like Meph or Andy), you don't need him there.

Meph and Andy are very good at killing mercs if you don't want to care for them all the time. It's best you make Meph/Andy runs without them. Besides, you will never know which monsters a merc will stir up next while a sorc has nearly perfect control over that when being alone. A sorc also can't do the moat trick when she comes with a merc. It will be like Meph doing the moat trick with your merc then and sooner or later she will be hit by a spells directed at your merc and die from it :azn:

Regarding leechable monsters, if your merc wears Insight, all leech has to come from the armor and the helm. The maximum is 20% from CoH+Crown of Thieves (from what I can think of right now) while Tal's helm alone gives him just 10%.
