i know how to create one, and the basic synergies. can someone tell me exactly what enchant does? I have read that it adds "fire damage" to weapons of all the party. Does the enchantress have to be on the battlefield to enchant or can she stay in camp? How much damage does this spell add? to weapons? or to attack rating? I'm thinking about building one as a rushing character, is this feasible? any help appreciated, thx.

Enchant adds both Fire Damage and increases the targets attack rating. A level 20 enchant with a level 20 Warmth and Firemastery adds about 504-659 fire damage to the targets attack, and increases their attack rating by 191%. With enough +Skills though, it's not too difficult to increase this over 1500 fire damage.

In order for the enchantress to cast enchant on another player, she'll need to be in the same party as them, and the target will need to be outside of town. The enchantress herself doesn't need to be outside of town, but she needs to be able to see the other player though. She can, however, enchant herself and minions (including other player minions) in town.

Using enchant on low level characters can definately help them level up quickly.

Edit: I should mention that enchant is probably still bugged (I haven't used it in awhile). By "bug" I mean the fire mastery bonus shall be applied twice in the enchants fire damage when the sorceress casts it on herself. It'll work normally if cast on another player or minion though.

I don't think is a bug, since it makes perfect sense. Fire mastery increases enchant damage. The fire damage is, like any fire charm she has, increased by mastery. What doesn't make sense is that it is only applied once for ranged attacks.

You mean the enchantress range attacks? I just checked mine, and it seems to be applied twice, though I haven't done much testing to verify it 100%.

Anyway, I class it as a bug because the fire mastery's bonus has already been applied. Put simply, Fire Mastery increases the effectiveness of the fire spells, and it already does that directly to the spell. It it were to be treated like a facet, then I just feel that the fire mastery bonus should be applied on casting/receipt then, rather than directly to the skill as it is now. Likewise, at most it certainly shouldn't be applied directly and on casting/receipt.

Anyway, that's just my 2 cents.

Someone decided that the sorceress Mastery bonuses should be applied to the elemental damage of the sorcīs weapons, but only if she hits in melee combat. So thatīs how it works. An Enchanted weapon is treated just like any other weapon with fire damage.

In the Mastery Sorc tourney, my character has maxed all three Masteries. Against fire + physical immunes, which her merc canīt kill even if his weapon gets Enchanted, she will go melee with an Arcing wand. Listed damage is something like 3-1850. Not bad...

Do peops use chanter as a killer (P V M) or only for enchanting low lvl chars?

I was wondering this too. If you want a char that fights with weapons, wouldn't a fighter class be better? And is a char that amplifies low level chars better for rushing than one that just kills for them?

Yes, I do. Playing pure SP I do not rush anyone and do not help anyone out (how should I). I have a Melee Enchantress and a Ranged/Melee Enchantress, both being well capable of keeping themselves alive and their opponents down. Sure, both are not the fastest to play but they are a lot of fun.
