i was pleased to find out that the prefix and the suffix were both lightning dmg.

even though the dmg is nto that high it is still quite interesting to have the same suffix and prefix.

Any one have anything like this before?:jig:

iirc, they can go up to 2-99 lightning damage, which is quite awesome ;)

This is a point where i am confused
Elemental charms have only a meaning , effect for ranged attack (bow /crossbow) or melee characters. They do not add to elemental dmg cast by a sorc (CL, FO).
However, their interest is in getting bonus from Fire and Lightning mastery (sorc), and each cold charms increase cold dmg duration by 1 sec (in normal)

So when someone says "awesome"dmg (like in Chronos guide on charms) , I need a bit of justification.
Are they strictly useful for only Meleeing sorc?
Can vengeance (pal) increase this elem charms's dmg?

Vengeance only benefits from physical damage afaik. In very simple words, the skill checks the physical damage output of your weapon and adds a percentage of that in the form of triple elemental damage. It doesn't convert your physical damage into elemental, physical remains, elemental is added on top. Now,elemental charms don't help vengeance but they do benefit alot from conviction...

Any sort of character that strikes quickly with an attack that carries elemental damage can benefit greatly from these sorts of charms. Unless you have an absolutely ridiculous amount of %ed, odds are, 2-99 lightning damage will add more average to your attack than a 3/20/20. Personally, I'd hate to be going zeal vs zeal or something, and find out that my opponent has an entire inventory full of charms - torch, anni, and 37 2-99 lightning charms. That's adding 74 - 3663 damage, which is HUGE. And in melee vs melee, low resistances are actually quite common!

Also, something like these charms could pair up very nicely with a tesladin, using something like Crescent Moon. Take huge lightning damage, stack another 3k lightning on top of that, then start chopping off your opponent's resistances, and see how quickly things die.

74-3663 lightning damage after pvp penalty is 12-622. Switching 3/20/20 (or any sharps of vita for elelemental charms),in zeal duels would cost 740 hitpoints, 740 in base attack rating (multiplied by skills ,the loss is huge) and a significant loss in pure physical damage...I wouldn't change that for 300 average lightning damage per zeal, that most good zealots will resist anyway...
