View Full Version : Kick Assassin - what sort of damage?
What kind of damage would be possible with this godly set up:
Phoenix
Fortitude
120/45 ED/Max helm
Rare 500 damage claw
Steelrend
Shadow Dancer
Verdungo's
Angelic Rings + Amulet
9x Martial Arts Skillers (45 life each)
Perfect Hellfire Torch
Perfect Annihilus
10x 32020s
Maximum Tiger Strike
Maximum Claw Mastery
Maximum Dragon Talon
Fully charged up, what would the Dragon Talon damage be like, approximately? And the attack rating?
Maybe a difficult question, but I'm very curious, as I'm inexperienced with non-Whirlwind melee Assassins. On paper it would seem the kick Assassin could be the highest melee damaging character in the game.
Ok first u wouldn't use dtalon for max dmge u would use dtail with tstrike
My dtail sin does 43k max dmge with cta.
Now with ure build with a heap of ed i'd say 50-60k? or even more?

Damn. That's some serious damage.

+MAX DAMAGE DOES NOT WORK WITH KICKS
I beleive that my work here is done.

*Edit: Claw damage also does nothing for kicks.
I'd expect more like something in the 120-150k range at least for a perfect damage setup, which would be probably involve beast and a might merc with pride, in addition to the ed helm forti and phoenix you mentioned.
+Max dmge doesn't apply
but i think
+% dmge applies
not too sure thou
Barctus is probably the best claw because +3 to tstrike beats ne ed on a claw, as said above ed on claw doesn't count towards kicks
This pvp or pvm?
Neither really. Lately I've been thinking about who would win a tournament between a Werewolf, Concentrate Barbarian, Kick Assassin, Zealot and Jabazon. I'm thinking the Assassin's massive damage may cause some problems. PvP I guess, but it's only theoretical.

a physical damage kicker isn't very viable. Off-weapon ed doesn't work very well on kicks. It works far better on other meleechars like for example a zealot. I made in ladder 2 a lacerator/forti/phoenix dextitan dtalon kicker and it was kind of dissapointing.
A better setup would be a 50% bramble, 6x5/5 poison faceted pb and a jmod shield with 4x 5/5 pois facets, dtalon kicker with lvl 45+ venom and a good % of ow.
My melee kicker works great in pvp...
My vote goes for the Conc barb... or the Zealot... darn that defense.
Assassins only get massive damage from charge-ups - in most PvP situations they die before all the charge-ups are ready.
i wouldn't use dmge as a main point with dtalon, but with dtail.
I use both dtail for some monsters, dtalon for bosses
oh does neone know if the -fire resistance from phoenix applies with dtail fire dmge?

My guess is it does. As far as i know it works on all types of firedamage. Like on a fireclaw druid or fissuredruid or fb sorc or whatever. But maybe someone tested it and can give you a better answer. It would be pretty nice with the redemption aura and the ed. The redemption will make up for no-block if you kill fast enough. I am also wondering how a infi merc would do with you. Just dragon flight him to the group of monsters and let the conviction help you out and even remove some fire immunities from some monsters.
It might... but I know -% doesn't work on all fire damage.
For example, Wake of Fire, Wake of Inferno, and the fire damage from the CE on Death Sentry all have no bonus from -% fire resists on equipment. Conviction & LR are different.
