"Rolling" to make socketed weapons

Quick question. I know you can roll sockets on weapons by transmuting an Amn, Ral, PAmethest + Normal Weapon, and it will produce a random # of sockets (depending on the max number of sockets the weapon can have).

Question: Can you "reroll" the socketed item you receive if you dont like the # of sockets?

Ex: Im trying to make a 4 rune runeword weapon. I create a 5 socketed weapon by using the cube, but needed a 4. Can I reuse that 5 socketed weapon I just created to try for a 4 again? Or do I have to find another normal weapon and do it all over again? :shocked:

Sorry, but there's no way to reroll the sockets on a socketed item. v1.12????

Also note that it only works on normal items. Not superior etc.
