DEX needed for max block = {(150 * clvl) / blocking} + 15, rounded up.

Total Blocking = [(Blocking * (Dexterity - 15)) / (Character Level * 2)]

DEX needed for max block = {(150 * clvl) / blocking} + 15, rounded up.

one from the site is above

RTB's is below and wtf does * mean? multipication?

Asterisks indicate multiplication.

Total Blocking = [(Blocking * (Dexterity - 15)) / (Character Level * 2)]

DEX needed for max block = {(150 * clvl) / blocking} + 15, rounded up.

These equations are identical; their variables have been re-arranged.

Edit: Sweet, 1111. I won't be seeing 2222 for a while. I think I should just stop posting.

Wait and just to clarify:
-blocking stands for "chance to block", correct?
-150xclvl would maximum then be 14850 (lvl 99)
-also, max block means that the shield will always block, correct?

I'm playing for quite some time now and only now did I realize that my character's defense grew worse and worse because i'm not upping it's dexterity... :p

Blocking stands for the "chance to block" you see on a shield, along with the stuff you find on Guardian Angel, Twitchtroe, safety amulets, etc.

Max block means the shield will block 75% of the time.

Also, running (thus not walking) severely affects your blocking by dropping it to 1/3.

In the game, defence really isn't that much of a concern for a bunch of characters. It's very overated.

And it's nice to see I'm passed 2222... and 3333... now for 4444! =D

Yes.
Yes, but you will divide that number by the base blocking chance shown on the shield.
No, 75% is the maximum, not 100%.
