Need your help with a GODLY smiter!

Hey people ... im looking to make a GODLY paladin smiter for rushing chars and doing the uber quests for body parts etc , all that good stuff .. but i need all of your help .. i have never made one before and i dont kno which skills to do and what he should wear ... but if you guys have some godly builds you could share with me that would be cool .. price is the sky and the main point is for him to be unstoppable -_- ya kno well reply please because i need all of your help BADLY !

personally, i have a zealot/ 1pt smiter and he does great.

my equipment which is considered to be for the wealthy is as follows:

Grief (luckily turned out to be +392 dmg)
Fort (archon, 1566 def)
nosf belt
goreriders
guils helm
dracs for gloves
metal grid ammy
2x raven for rings (only because im stingy with dex for my PB)
HoZ upped with pdiamond in it for res

you can also take the alternate approach and use the exile shield with the chains of honor.....CoH hive a ton of resists where the exile you want to have as close as 60% edamage on the base shield before you make runeword....

with either build you have a great amount of resists (metalgrid and CoH give great res and so do HoZ + metalgrid)

hope this could help....btw you should have as close to a 6 BO CTA paired with a +2 skills shield on your weapon switch for lots of life.

Definitely not so cheap gears here but 10k smite damage possible and 50k defense possible if you can get the godliest exile lol. Also the life will be 4k+ with torch/anni, and all the life charms with combat skills.

6 pally combat charms, assuming you want room for tp's and to be able to pick something up (2 rows).
annilihus small charm
pally torch
CoH (trust me on the +2 skills, resists, life steal...etc) Holy shield will make up the def.
Grief (big numbers though...37+/390+) Or 2 OS eth +3 Heavens Light (Zod/Shaeled)
Highlords Ammy. Best for Heavens (IAS) or Mara's for Grief.
Verdungo's belt
Crown of Ages (Ber/Ber)
5% BK ring
Ravenfrost (20 dex)
Goreriders
Up'ed UM'ed HOZ (mines a 186%).
Drac's gloves. The lifesteal and lifetap is amazing.

I loved my Grief but an eth +3, 2 OS Heavens Light is one awesome weapon, just needs assistance with IAS. With 33% CB...its deadly.


Spendy pally but the ubers are uber easy. Only problem with rushing is act 4 and the Furnace of Pain for the darned Iron Maiden. Dead before I hit the floor. Usually I see them beforehand and bring in my Faith Zon to clean things up.

but now that i know all the equip i need now all i need is to know stats and skills .. ive never made one of these before but i want to make a perfect build i dont really want to str glitch but if its for the better ill do it .. but thats the rest of the help that i need with this char setup .. thank you all very much for helping me out.

Seriously,If you want to rush chars to hell etc,don't make a smiter,he is not efficient in general pvm.

I'd agreewith kingdryland. A smiter is great for ubers...and single kills but you need to make a dual smite/zeal for him to be effective...and even then with the IM curse being a good part of act 4 and 5.....watch out.

Smiter is godly but for ubers and pvp generally. If you want both pvm and pvp then a liberator will be much better. Hammer+Charge omg pwn!

IMO a smiter can still do pvm if you insist, but of course, the killing speed will be unpleasant probably and you need to find ways to deal with PI's.

There is no telling what's the best, many people simply have their own arguments. While mohrr recommends using a coh, I, and many others, think that fort is better because it gives a lot more smite damage. And others also argue that exile is better than upp'z hoz. So really, just based on what you like, you can always have a god smiter.

If price is not an issue, then the only disagreement I have with his set up is that he's using hoz. I personally think an ebug 45res elite pally exile is much better, mostly because of added chance to life tap. IMO, dracs don't give enough of a chance to tap on their own. Plus defiance is nice, your smiter can easily get around 40k def that way. Also, if you use exile, you could lose the dracs and get 20ias/cb gloves. If price is an issue, I would sub andy's helm or guillaume for coa, and use highlords instead of maras. Also on the grief, go with a pb since zerk wears out a lot. You also should have a cta and spirit on switch. And if you wanna rush with your smiter, get him enigma instead of coh. It's still slow, but a lot faster than walking

enigma is good that you can basically go base strength and still be able to wear all the stuff.

Just wondering but isn't last wish a good weapon too? I seemed to like it...so what would you suggest I get for a weapon? Price is not a issue.

Last wish is only good for killing bosses and ubers. In normal pvm its CB doesn't help much and in pvp its damage is nothing compared to grief.
