Zeal question.

My All charging pally had to many problems to continue :hanky: I simply just can't get past act 3 nightmare. I admiit through, it was fun. So if any of you better players wanna try it, it could probably work for you.

So I decided to work with somthing less chaotic. And I'm going for the Zeal/fanaticism build. I'm Trying to figure out how zeal distributes damage. And if it is effective at all aganst single monsters Like uniqes and boss's. If it isn't I guess I could just switch to Sacrifice becuase I leveled it up 7 times before I got to level 12. {The rest was put to move up the tree}, I'm using it to up zeals damage. which should come out to 240% when its maxed. So should I use it on uniqes and bosses or not?

Zeal is extremely effective as both a crowd-controller and as a boss-killer. You don't need to switch to Sacrifice; if anything you'd probably be killing faster with Zeal anyway.

zeal is used for crowd control and packs of minions along with fanat. just max sacrifice for up'ding zeal dmg.
smite is effective against bosses. along with a decent cb, u can take them down within a few secs.

All fanatic zealots max holy shield. Which means they have one point in smite as prerequisite. At the same time they have maxed fanaticism and gear that in pvm has a decent amount of crushing blow. Zeal aura/skills/gear all are compatible with the ones smiters use. That's why zealots with 1pt in smite are so efficient uber tristram runners (by smiting them). Against normal bosses like hell baal that is,zeal will need only a few seconds to dispatch them, so you can solo the game by zealing with great ease without switching to any other attack.

when zealing just watch out for the oblivion knights in chaos sanc and wsk areas as u die immediately after hitting witht he im curse on.

Against the knights you'd either use passion RW or smite for the safety.

Smite can get you killed just as easily actually. Passion/berserk sounds safer,throwing gimmers or lacerator is nice too.

Still, smite is safer than zeal since zeal won't stop even if you are cursed in the middle of the attack and of course, you can also get killed with smite by carelessly pressing down on mouse button and thus continually smiting without paying attention to what you have over your head.
