I am a Hardcore Necromancer wondering how difficult it will be to survive in Nightmare and Hell difficulty. I am especially looking for advice from players who stayed away from the Fishymancer build, and I want to play untwinked so I am not looking for advice based on acquiring high-level items.

Here are some stats I am looking at:

Poison/Bone:
Poison Dagger: 10 - 15 points
Poison Explosion: 10 - 15 points
Corpse Explosion: 5 - 10 points
Bone Spirit: 10 - 15 points
Bone Armor: 1 - 5 points

Summons:
Fire Golem: 5 - 10 points
Revive: 5 - 10 points
Skeleton Mastery: 1 - 5 points
Golem Mastery: 1 - 5 poins

Curses:
Life Tap: 1 - 5 points
Decrepify: 10 points
Lower Resist: 1 - 5

For attribute distrobution, I'm looking at something like:
110 strength
95 dex - for high level daggers
150 vitality ~ should give around 350 life
225 energy ~ should give around 500 mana

My strategy is to mainly rely on summons, supporting my revives and golem with decrepify, lower resist, poison nova, and corpse explosion; I also want to be able to defend myself, using bone spear, poison dagger, and life tap as my primary attacks.

With that said, I have a few specific questions:

With decent armor, and around 350 life, will I be able to withstand getting hit once or twice on higher levels without dying?

I am looking at using an act 2 defensive merc (for the defiance aura) and then switching to an act 2 nightmare combat merc (for the thorns aura). Which of the two is better for staying alive at higher levels?

Can Bone Spirit be effective at higher levels without synergies? I plan to have plenty of mana to cast a lot of them.

I am assuming that by playing I will acquire some decent + to skills gear which is why I have lower distrobution on some of my skills. But is my skill distrobution too spread out? Would it be better to narrow the focus of my skills?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

In hell, bone spells are lacking in damage when fully synergised unless you get ridiculous gear.

Think about it this way, an average monster in hell has 8-10k HP. You are better off focusing on summons and corpse explosion.

Overall, your points are too dilluted to be really effective. Your bone spells won't do enough damage to serve you well in Hell, your summons will be really, really weak. And you shouln't put more then 1 point in curses... +skills does more then enough to make them effective, and they are really cheap to recast.

*Also, WAY too many points in energy. I remember my first necro did that, it was a major mistake that made playing hell impossible without dieng. Untwinked, 75 energy is more then enough to last you the game.

Without any skills completely mastered, you'll have a very hard time i my opinion. Not saying it's impossible, but you're looking at a rough time.

Might wanna look at not spreading your skill distribution out in too many places.
