i was thinking about making an uber smiter.

a friend had an idea to kill ubers at a low level.
this is what i have come up with, i might try it out once i can get my mitts on all the gear.
i think a smite paladin is the only character that even has a chance to pull it off, because other characters will miss all of thier attacks, and you get an extra 45 res all out of your shield.


gear:
guilliam's face (req jewel)
high res skin of the vipermagi (thul/pruby)
lifetap charge bone wand (shael + some jewel)/switch: spirit
45 res protector shield (2x pdiamond 2x ptopaz)/switch: spirit
death's hand
death's guard
goblin toe
2x soj (or soj + res/stat ring, because i only have 1 soj)
+2 combat amulet, preferably with resists and/or stats.

inventory: cube and 34 15 life small charms. as many as possible with cold resist, and a few with fire/lit res.

stats:
lvl: 34
str: 113 (after gear)
dex: 76 (after gear)
vit: 76 (assuming only guilliam's has +stats)

skills:
20 smite
11 holy shield
5 fanat
1 in each prereq
3 spare


should do about 900 damage smite, 60% cb, 75 res all (low fire, decent cold, 75 light with conviction), about 900 life, but i can get a bo before i go in, and a 6 frame attack.

I would use 2 res/stat rings since SoJs don't benefit melee chars very much. Good luck.

+skills are prety much the only way i can get extra damage. +1 all adds about 3-4 to shield damage (holy shield), and 32% ed. it adds quite a bit of smite damage.

damage with vipermagi, +2 combat ammy, and battle command (holy shield prebuffed with 2 spirit):
924-1040

add 2 soj:
1028-1138


so it adds about 100 damage, unless i'm calculating it wrong. (formula: (shield damage + holy shield) * (1 + (str/100)) * (1 + (skill ed/100)) = damage)

you may be right anyway, though, the extra life i can get from +stats might be more important than extra damage.

more damage means more life from lifetap, but more life means more time to drink a potion or get that hit in.

i think lvl 49 or something would be a whole lot easier :)
100+res from sacntuary shield, if u want that, gores, duress, etc etc. but if u wanna make it harder for urself do wat eva :)

I see some problems with the setup. You lack open wounds.You could use a blood crafted belt but you will lose the cbf from death's sash this way. Consider using a blood crescent unique scimitar,it offers 33% open wounds to slow down the uber's regeneration of life and with shael you hit max smite speed.It has 15% all res too. But really,at lvl 34 you don't do much ow damage...
I think you chose lvl 34 in order to be able to use guil face. Well don't bother,the crushing blow from goblin toes (25%) is enough for ubers...
