does anyone know what the odds are of getting one gambling one? are they better or worse than killing nm andy?
Basically, the chances of getting a SOJ are:
Dropping from NM Andarial:
Players 1 = 1:3813 (quest drop)
Players 1 = 1:8809 (not quest drop)
Players 8 = 1:2046 (quest drop)
Players 8 = 1:6311 (not quest drop)
Gambling:
Clvl just barely high enough to get SOJ = 1:62,000 *
Clvl high enough to get all rings = 1:120,000 *
*If your gambling with a character who has a high clvl, then the odds of getting a SOJ from a ring that turns unique is decreased considerably, as the possible unique options are far greater.
That's just for starters. Now you need to consider that you can gamble much more rings in say 5 minutes than you can kill NM Andarial.
Then you also need to consider that you need to get access to the gold to gamble for rings, so after abit of gambling you might need to waste alot of time trying to get up some gold just to continue. However, if you were doing Andarial runs, theoretically you wouldn't need to stop the process.
And if you have for example 150 effective MF, the odds for SoJ from Andy are 2,5 x bettter. Orphan stated the chance for SoJ without any MF at all.
