Avenger Gear Questions

I decided to make an avenger because I'm pretty much sick of the 3 dominant Pally builds (Hammerdin, Zealer, and of course Smiter). I have a few questions about his gear though.

Weapon: For now Lightsaber Shael'd, hopefully can upgrade to Azurewrath and eventually Famine

Shield: HoZ is probably out of the question for now, so I was thinking Griz shield or maybe even Tiamat's. Tiamat's has resistances and added cold, fire, and lightning damage. I'm not sure if Holy Shield will be enough to make up for Tiamat's low block %

Armor: GAngel, but not sure what to socket it with, maybe Up and Hel it?

Helm: A rare circlet with +2skills, %AR based on lvl, Resist All, and FHR. I also have the option of Vamp Gaze, maybe Veil of Steel Hel'd?

Gloves: Dracs or Souldrainers

Boots: Obvious choice is Travs

Belt: Nosf or Dungos, both are available

Rings: Manald considering mana issues, the either a Raven/Dwarf/Carrion

Ammy: No idea

I will start with your merc. Get a merc with insight ,it will solve your mana problem,and avengers spend A LOT of mana.

For shield,tiamat's is nice for low/mid levels if you can't afford a hoz. At high levels consider a Dragonscale,sick fire mods and a very handy hydra,that will hurt your enemies because you have conviction. You'll need cold/lightning/poison resists though and the block is low.

For weapon,until you can use azurewrath, try a nord's tenderizer,I find it very nice in my avenger,and if you combined it with dragonscale you will have a strong fire/cold damage sources on top of the ones from your skill.

Boots. Obvious choice is gore rider,you need some crushing blow,remember.

Helm. If you are on europe ladder,I will buy that +2,fhr,%ar helm at once :) Consider ,kira's if you lack resists. Coa is fantastic option too,with one or two ums there for pvm.

Amulet,a highlord's is always nice. Mara will work if you lack the resists. Metalgrid works also very well.
Gloves,get dracs, insight will solve your mana leech problem.

Armor, perhaps you should consider something else than GA. Avengers invest in resists auras because they are vengeance synergies,and their max resists are higher than usual. From cheap to expensive ,these are nice options:
Smoke/Duress/Prudence/Fortitude/Chains of Honor.

Belt. If you use a helm with damage reduction like shako,gaze or coa,then use nosferatu,it has str. bonus and slows your enemies. Leech isn't bad either. Dungo has life and damage reduction,it is more of a pvp item,but can work nicely too for you.

consider an "oath" runeword too as weapon, better option that the ones you've listed (and way cheaper than famine too)
I'd go with war trav as boots and duress as armor.
