smiting with gris set

how much ias would i need for optimal smite ias with full gris set.
is there a calc somewhere i can put in fanat level and such and find bps?

It's doable, but there are much better setups. Gris set doesn't offer any crushing blow, one of the most important mods for a smiter.

Technically you can get your crushing blow really high with gris set IF you invest in ber runes in caddy. The thing you will never get is the +damage mod from astreon's/grief/redeemer...

Some weird monkey spirit possessed me today, and I went and socketed a Caddie with 4 Ber's. It's a lovely Ubber smiting weapon, but you'll probably get the same result with a 6 os PB with 4 Ber and 2 Shael.

Well I find maxed crushing blow an unecessary overkill in tristram.2xber and 2xLo for zeal work better imho.
