My Hammerdin did hell diablo with junk gear. lol

I don't have time to play alot because of work family and school, so I only get a few hours in a week.

I dicided to start a hammerdin as my first ladder character, because they were supposed to be easy to build up.

Well I just completed my build at level 80, but could not kill diablo because of my low end mf gear. So I started saving some of the junk gear that I was finding. The items mostly crap but they had good defences and some added resist. Well, last night I had it with Diablo kicking my *** so I put on my junk gear and wasted both the armorer and diablo. It took a little time and patience but I prevailed. I got a mal off of the armorer, which was sweet.

SO THANK YOU EVERYONE ON THE PALADIN FORUM. I COULD NOT HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT YOUR ADVICE AND GUIDENCE.

But I am not post to say oh look at me, because I am not that great of a player or that rich. I am posting this encourage all of these guys on the forums I hear complaining about not having good gear. Stop whinning about it. We as players can be very successful regardless of our gear if we are patient and preceivier.:thumbsup:

40 jewels = a lem
40 pgems = a pul
20 rals = a pul

and in a few months you have bomber gear without even really trying.



I built up a concentrate barb the same way and it took a while but wow he is sweet now. Too bad he is NL.

well, nice job, I really admire patience players, unlike myself who deletes chars that cant kill monsters fast and also I may even sell items very low price just to get them sold I hate waiting and stuff, but still nice work man :thumbsup:

i always love to hear that you CAN make chars without 20ist gear. That's why i am making this cheap *** Enchantress. She wont be able to do hell solo like your pala and her merc wil probaly own more the she does but it's a fun party char and it is not a cookie cutter because even with the godliest gear she is still hard to play with. I also like people that prefer to play with style and not only with the "best gear". I little example; my enchantress uses the passion runeword for the zeal. As most of you know passion is best made in a phase blade because of the attack speed. As some of you will agree, and probaly some of you really don't agree; a phase blade does not look cool. (my opinion, don't troll me for that) so i made it in a cryptic sword wich looks far more cool (again my opinion) but is a bit slower.

lol you're story sounds just like mine. All the people in my playing circle rarely have more than a few hours a week. But my boyfriend, a few friends, and myself pooled magic finds, pgems, and Hellforge drops to come out pretty decently this ladder season. I've already made multiple Duresses an Oath, have several decent res Vipermagi's, Ravenfrosts, Shaftstops and Bonehews for the merces, at least 80 inventory spaces of life/mana/res charms, just a ton of other decent gear, enough to equip at least 6 different characters that can and have easily soloed almost every location in hell, save something like those Nilithak vipers and the Ubers themselves.

Eth Bugged Pally sheilds are for sure Godly, but if you can build a good character and play with some intelligence, you CAN really get somewhere. ESPECIALLY with the help and advice of other people on the forums!
