What kind of smiter? For duels? As for exile,for me vortex is the worst choice. Lowest block,highest strength requirement, smite damage that fluctuates...

Exile: zakarum shield, or sacred rondache
HoZ(upg ofcourse) is a great choice tough, got it on my smiter + grief +gore+shaft upg PULed and it`s nice

Exile in a zakarum shield with high resistance on it.

Why zakarum shield? This one still has low block.I would use a sacred targe.

In smite vs smite you will be in disadvantage with exile,mind you. Choice depends on the rest of your gear. The following are all viable: Hoz,uped hoz,stormshield,alma negra,elite exile...
