Dtail questions Charges and Elmental

Hello quick couple of questions First of all, why is it that often times i will do the dtail damage and not the charges at first. I use TS and sometimes my charges don't release the first time. Does it always do the fire dmg even if my kick misses so I'm just missing alot or what

Second, Lets say I had the Ik maul, would the elemental damage that it adds with partial set add to my kick? the kick thread I red said that elemental would be added but I don't know bout a weapon adding it.

I'm not incredibly familiar with that skill, though it sounds like you are missing. The fire damage is based on the physical damage you actually do to the target, so if you miss it won't do any fire damage.

Elemental damage is elemental damage regardless of where it comes from. Yes, the IK maul adds elemental damage (if you have the set bonuses that give it).

There is often a graphical display error with a Dtail miss where the splash is still shown on the screen. No damage will be done in those cases, and like any miss, charges are retained.
