help me with my zon

hey, ive started playing again after about 2-3 years of not playing :p lol

i have a javazon up to around 43 and would like some pointers...

i would like to pvp and also pvm so i was looking around for builds and cam across the "Sidewinder" i like to be a bit differant and using poison seems like a good idea.... but im a bit worried if its still viable this is the build i am thinking of using, http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=346563

but i have a few questions:

1) is that build viable (or am i going to be gimped to much in both pvp and pvm?)
2) should i go for the the "Lightning Based" route or the "Poison Based" route? (what are the disadvantages of each etc)
3) would this work better/worse than those builds:

20 Charged Strike
20 Lighting Fury
20 Poison Javelin
20 Plague Javelin
1-6 D/E/A
1 Valkyrie
1 Guided Arrow
1 Critical Strike
Rest into Lightning Bolt

that would give me lighting fury instead of bolt and still have max poison or is lighting bolt used in this build?

at the moment i have the following (not exact):

10 Charged Strike
10 Poison Javelin
10 Plague Javelin
1 D/E/A

is Valkyrie worth getting? (its only 2 extra points, as i have the skills before it other than decoy).

lots of questions but i cant think of them all now lol so ill probably add more :) but the main question is if the build is still decent or should i re roll and start again?

1) It's viable.
2) If you're wanting to play PvM as well, I like your third option best. You'll use Lightning Fury way more than Lightning Bolt. I'd also advocate a point in Valk.

thanks, ive put a point in valk and maxed charged strike and plague and im working on posion jav now, then ill start on fury... will i use lightning bolt at all in pvp? if i do i may just take bolt as i dont see fury being very good without peirce.

Lightning Bolt can be used as a finishing move where Guided Arrow isn't as advisable (in the case of Necromancers and their Bone Armors and the like) but you can make do without it. You'll probably use it as often as you use Lightning Fury (for getting rid of summons, etc). Also, depending on how high you want to level your character and how much PvM you do, a point spent in Pierce and/or equipping a Razortail might be a good idea as Fury is just better than Bolt for PvM imo. Keep in mind though, that guide and its gear suggestions are geared for PvP.

yep, ive started to put points into fury now, i dont see bolt being that much use realy (i can still use it as a finishing move with +skills).
i will get a razortail for pvm :)

all i need now is decent gear... havnt played for 3 yrs so im starting from scratch :(
