Items lost in xfer

:cry: Ok i xfered an eth dc and 26 fathom to my barb, get there with him pick them up, make sure he has them, save/exit, go back on him 5 minutes later and there gone wtf? Its like i didnt even xfer or somethin, yet they arent on the char they were previously on either, i dont think there dupes cuz i xfered 161 titans to and they are gone also, this happen to neone else?
I know theres no way to get them back, just wondering how this happened.

It sounds like your barb got rolled back. This means that he data was moved back to a state before the transfer took place, and thus without the items.

Usually, if your lucky, the rollback would affect all your characters, and thus you would normally have the items back on the original char that had them, but in this case it didn't do that.

Unfortunately, there's not much you can do about it. This is one of the risks of dropping items on the ground to transfer them, and it's generally a good idea to use the trade screen to transfer items, though I know that alot of people don't have the luxury of a second comp or a good friend.

I wouldn't recommend contacting Blizzard about it, merely because you've got to put yourself in their shoes, and without any real evidence then it's unlikely that they'll do anything about it.

similar thing happened to me

i was xfering soj, um and ohm rune on a floor.

1/2 a minute later i was back in the game.



here's the weird part.

yes, i see the stuff on the floor.
then i went to my stash to rearrange my inventory
went back to the floor... poof!

all fxxking gone.

wtf man.
