Weird Question

Sup people, i have a question about something that might be a bug. I join this game and there is a pally in there. Doesn't say anything for like 40 mins. I was trying to find him and when i get to act 2, whenever i try to walk to like the left half of the screen, i get an error, everytime. After awhile i said something like " people this pally has a bot or something and is guarding an area act2" pally gets deffensive and is like " uh no" and other things. What the heck was he up to?

As far as i know, there is a hack that crashes the game for everyone but you in an area in act 2. Scammers often use it to make people drop stuff for annihilus or torch, and then crash them so they can take the items.
