alright, i duel with a v/t (mainly use foh) and i have a couple of questions... First, is there a good strategy against wind druids (good ones with stacked res) and trappers? these are the characters i seem to have trouble with... Also, i dont usually have any trouble with hammerdins, but i was dueling one yesterday that i wouldnt even see coming before i was dead... id just like fall over dead and it would say he killed me... is this the desynching yall were talking about? how does it work and (more importantly) how do you counter that? finally, sorry if this is a noob question but what is name locking?

well, i don't think there's any good solutions against druids for a foher lol.

namelocking is clicking down on ur opponent's character and holding it. it's good way to tele-kill them if ur sumthing like a wind druid or so.

againts wind foh wont work their ca is at 0 res at all times meaning foh wont pierce it (and they just recast while you are still in delay) i think your best change is to swap on hshock to kill his minions (if you have it maxed) and then charge/smite him when he is recasting.
forget foh in this fight unless they forgot to cast cyclon armor
donno how to fight trappers prop best tacktic is to stay away and foh them when they come out of their trap field

namelocking is when you keep your mouse at someone and his name lights up as long as you keep your mouse down your attacks will aim at him/be aimed in his direction this is called namelock

desyng is usaly caused by moving so fast that the servers dont know where he is exactly this is usaly done by vigor charge (pala) and leap tele ww(barbs)
the pala can be countert by finding a terain whit blocking objects in it or you can desyng yourself (you are a pala after all) and hope he makes the 1st mistake.
holding shift +foh might work aswell since it should attack him when he gets in range (not sure on this one)

Try to trick the the windy into teleporting on you, then make him sorry with smite. Tough duel, but possible. Max or near max dr is crucial to tank the nados.

so to desynch all i have to do is use vigor and charge? or is there more of a trick to it? i wouldnt use it normally (i try be decent to the other players) but if another pally is doing it it seems like something useful to know how to do...

i dont know the exact speed you should ask that at the pala forum in theorie you could prop desyng walking its about the speed and the fastest speed a pala can get is by a vigor charge

trapper are going to be tough cuz when i vs foh on my i usually use mindblast to get u stunlocked and its one of those moves its hard to escape. best thing to use is charge as charge and ww cannot be stoped by mindblast. try to charge the assa using a charge smite type technique. I dont remcomend try to use foh as a good trapper will mb+trap u to death as foh is a slow attack.

To dsync also u can try charging from 3 or 2 screens away also helps u dsync

it is a terrible hard duel though

how can you tell when you are desynched? can you tell on your end or is it just on theirs?
