PVP Pally "CLASSIC"

Can anyone please help me with a pvp Pally guide that will do well in CLASSIC Diablo 2, NOT LOD

A smiter, Charger or Zealer..?

Equipment preferences,stats and skills as well please.

Smiters are garbage in classic (no grief or elite uniques or even anything for decent life tap) and chargers suck vs melee since they can't hit a mid-WW barb and get really broken down by anything that can block. This leaves you with a zealot (if you really feel like going the melee route). I don't know all that much about the uniques you have available, but I can only suggest you try to get a super rare. Unfortunately you can't upgrade them (no runes) and don't even get eths, so I can't even suggest a weapon type for you to go after. Most things in classic D2 are decided by what cool rare you can find or trade for. I'd say angelics are a given unless you want to fight casters as well, and then good luck. If you're rich and have time, you might consider using the soj+1pskull+item formula with rares from diablo and see if you get lucky.

Post it on the classic forum. Smiters dont suck in classic. Go to the classic forum, they'll give you decent advice.

the average pvm hammerdin or foher will do better vs sorc/barbs (yes, im talking classic).

A clegs zealot is very viable, so is a 100+ min dam bhammer charger. Remember, people have less life in classic, so it takes less damage to kill them.

Actually, I despise clegs.... I want my 1.09 azurechargers back ;) But the DS coupled with the CB and the max dam, well, that makes for a mightily fine build anytime, either classic or LoD, and we HC duellers swear by clegs sword sub level 25.
