Okay, I went and brought a +6/+6/+3 CTA for 8 HRs. I moved it onto my BvC.

Everything is fine, until about 2 hours later.

I logged on, went onto my BvC barb, and the +6/+6/+3 CTA turned into +3/+3/+3.

NO, I AM NOT AN IDIOTIC NOOB WHO DON'T CHECK ITEM BEFORE HE CLICK TRADE. YES, I AM SURE IT WAS A +6/+6/+3 CTA 2 HOURS AGO.

DAMN IT... are you bloody serious? Some kind of hack program? I need some clues on how it happened, and I'm wondering if it happened to anyone else before. :lipsrsealed:

Kind of off-topic, but why do you want a 6/6/3 CTA on a Barbarian? Because of the fact that BO/BC/BC are Barbarian skills already, +3 is the max that will actually take effect, the CTA that your 6/6/3 "turned into" is just as good for your Barbarian's purposes as the 6/6/3 would have been (excluding resale value).

More on-topic: I know there are hacks/glitches where a scammer can make an item, usually a rune, appear to be in a trade window whereas in reality it isn't. Did you have the other person move the CTA around a couple of times? Perhaps it's the same idea. Was it still 6/6/3 right after the trade? If it was, I've got no useful input.

That is kind of annoying, but it's not the end of the world. Nonetheless, getting scammed is never fun...

It's not the end of the world. I can replace what I just lost, but if this is indeed a bug/scam/availible hack, then I'm not too sure about this game anymore.

Yes, it was +6/+6/+3 even after I traded. It remained +6/+6/+3 even when I moved onto my BvC. Therefore, he did not switch, or used the image hack. If he did use the image hack, he could have simply used a normal flail, instead of a real +3/+3/+3 CTA.

I think I remember hearing something about those only showing up as 3 maximum for Barbarians looking at a CTA. I could be wrong though. Just to make sure, maybe you could look at it on another character.

You didn't get scammed. Barbs only see a max of +3 BO on CtA, regardless of how high it actually is. If you switch back to another char, you'll see that it is in fact, a 6 BO CtA. This applies to any other oskill (+Fireball on Trangs for example).

2 Hotos on switch=+6 to BO (+3 all skills from each Hoto)
CtA+Hoto on switch=+7 to BO (+3 from the BO on CtA, +1 all skills on CtA, +3 all skills from Hoto)

something i think everybody forgot to mention is that not only can your barb (or any barb) not SEE the plus 6 to bo, but the plus 6 BECOMES only plus 3 to bo! this is because any item giving plus to a certain character's skill is limited to plus 3 for whatever character who's skill that is. also, you should get a plus 3 to warcries javelin//throwing spear which will do just as much good as plus 3 bo cta! and its a lot cheaper! so u can spend elsewhere!

It doesn't exactly 'become' +3 to bo, it only provides a barb with +3 - and, the +1 all skills. Wearing one +3 bo cta and one other thing with +3 warcries will make your barb have +1 level of bo over two +3 bo weapons.

However, when you return that +6/+6/+3 cta to another character, it will resume being a 6/6/3, as long as that character isn't a barbarian.

Oh. Sorry about that. I knew that it only goes up to +3 for barb, but I never knew it'll show at +3.
