WF & Faith discussion

Hi all

My first post this one. So bare with me and my english.

So I have one question regarding my Bowazon!!

Is it better to have WF on your character and Faith on a merc or
Faith on your character and a might merc.

Can anyone give pro's and con's and dmg output on each combination.

As far as I know, using a 'Faith' bow with a Might Merc weilding a 'Pride' polearm is the way to go since stacked Might+Conc auras give so much more %ed.

Using WF with a 'Faith' Merc falls short in damage output even though the bow appears to do way more damage. It's a little cheaper than the above setup but it definitely gets the job done, although you do lose a tank and have to rely more on your Valk.

although the faith on merc + wf on you should do marginally more I believe, act 1 mercs are utter crap and will kill themselves instantly if you give them any reason to.

Idealy go for the pride+might merc option.

Act one mercs are why people call them morons instead of mercs. They run into melee zones and get killed way too often. At least with a might merc, even if he is standing around, staring at a corner, he is still upping your damage.

A2 Might Merc with Pride + Faith on you >>>> Faith A1 Merc + Wf on You

More damage for him
More damage for you
More tanking to protect you

I would also choose the Faith on yourself and the Pride on your merc for this reason: if your merc dies, you lose some damage but you'll still be able to keep up a fast firing speed.

Although, with faith on a merc, you end up with massive dam when you leech might and conc from a 2nd player...

and then something good drops and that second random player steals the drop after you did all the killing and then insults you in very colorful ways after he brags how the item is his

Well this disscussion is surely an old one. The answer to this question would best be found by trying for oneself. For this simply make the two types in single player with an editor and try them out.

Based on your playstyle and what areas your doing any might be better.


And btw rouger OwNs desert mercs in looks ... :tongue: Fanatismed and faded rouge>all :wink2:

For me the *hard hitting mele pack* thing has just happened once that I can remember and I'm lvl 92 (non edited char on EuScL) atm so I've been playing with her quite a bit ... not as much as Omikron8 maybe, I wouldn't know. All I can say is that she rarely dies for me.

If you ask me the mele pack should not be a problem as knockback and valk should hold them of ... even fanatismed, lightning enchanted extra strong death lords does not usualy get through my lvl 17 valk as long as I keep strafing them with knockback. This also includes extra fast minnions of destruction.

I'd say Faith. Can't reach 7 frames otherwise.
