After finding 6 different bows/crossbows (Most notable ones being Kuko, Demon Machine, and Witchwild) in a row I decided that fate would have me to start a Bowazon (Not specific to PvP or PvM, just trying out the class as a whole). Quickly playing her to 33ish level and giving her the kuko, I am begging to doubt my build choice.

I planned on making a fire based bowazon with maxing out strafe, guided arrow, and all 3 fire arrow types. While I currently do 100-400 damage with normal attack and 600-1100 with immolation arrow, all of which is really nice I don't know how well she will cut in nightmare and hell.

I am currently sitting at 1 point in every skill in the passive/magic tree, 1 point in magic arrow, guided arrow, multishot, and strafe, 3 in fire arrow, 11 in exploding, and 10 in immolation. I plan to max out the fire skills first, then max out strafe, and lastly guided arrow then put left over points in passive skills as my equip sees fit. I am very poor, just started ladder after 2 years of not playing diablo, my best pieces of equip at the moment avaivable for the zon are Tal Rasha Mask, Kuko, and Demon Machine.

So, questions...
1. How should I distribute my stats? I currently got 60 str and rest of the points in dextirity, none in vitality or energy. Should I keep on pumping dex and then put points in vitality to beef up HP, or should I start alternating between them now? Or is there some other option which will make it a better amazon?

2. Is my skill distribution fine? Will I be effective at soloing hell if needed, and be able to stand my own at PvP? Or should I remake into ice maiden or physical damage based bowazon if I want a better bowazon char overall?

3. Merc. Three choices outlined, Act 2 Might, Act 2 Freeze, or Act 1 Cold. Which better complements bowazon gameplay?

Please help the newbie out!

*edit Please don't send me off to the guides section unless you have a specific guide in mind! I looked through them and they answered no questions seeing as they are very outdated or have different builds in mind.

Well, as far as I know, fire is broken beyond imagination (if only immo doesn't have a timer), and it won't cut it in hell at all. Cold, strafe, and multi still works well. If you want to do hell decently, you should probably remake.

Merc - might, no question.

Anyways, the best bow you have now is probably the WWS. And if I am to send you off to a guide, it will be the WWS strafer guide.

Don't put any more than one into Guided. Rebuild. Use the WWS bow to make a more fun and powerful FA/Strafezon or a LF/Strafezon. Keep all passives at one for a while, until you get your skills up and are killing quickly. Try to find a Razortail belt for the pierce. If you can't find one, try to get it up to about 70%. Use a Peace armor for a while (with one point into valk). Once you outgrow it, start pumping up your valk. At that point use Treachery or Twitch for armor. Both of those runewords are relatively cheap and easily made by poorer players. Use a might merc.
