I have inherited and found a whole bunch of bow/skill charms (for some strange reason these are the only skill charms i find this season) most with excellent mods (38 life/37 life/5 dex/fhr).

I have a lvl 85 Zon with all stats unallocated and am now ready to equip her etc and will be using her almost exclusivly as a baal runner up to at least level 97.

You have a huge resource here at AB to help me choose my gear and merc etc but can find no useful information on the skill charms and how they affect the damage from the various bow skills available.

I did read somewhere that for strafe they would add little useful damage but am unsure where i found that, and the reason why etc.

Is there a previous thread or other info resource that has this info or can any kind soul help me with a quick mini guide. None of the guides seem to mention them so i presume they are as useless as the necro curse charms...

Or, given that i have 9 skill charms (plus torch/anni) is there a viable baal running build that can incorporate these successfully.

Bow skillers are useless to physical damage dealing bowazons (ie. the ones using Strafe, Multi, Guided) because +skills only give those skills a small increase in damage. However, bow skillers do benefit one type of bowazon: the Frostmaiden, since her attack is mostly elemental and receives a decent boost from +skills. They also help Immozons, but I don't have any experience with playing one of those.

Try a frost variant of this build.

It may look goofy, but trust me, it works. In 1.09 I took a lvl 26 spearzon and turned her into an effective frostmaiden at lvl41 with just 5 bow skillers. The key to the build at lvl85 will be the "Silence" bow. Your resists will suck with out it. Good resist armor will be needed also.
Max FA, 11 to strafe, max valk, points du Jour for everything else.

Ok Thanks for the heads up on that.

Just one question though..

Why do folks seem to insist on a plus 3 bow skills gmb when looking to make faith if the skills bonus is negligible...

Oh and (finally) what are the charms of choice again when using faith in the Throne room (where my zon will be spending almost all of her time

Why do folks seem to insist on a plus 3 bow skills gmb when looking to make faith if the skills bonus is negligible...Because they think that the +3 bow skills means a significant damage increase, and they don't realize that the +3 bow skills do squat for their damage.Oh and (finally) what are the charms of choice again when using faith in the Throne room (where my zon will be spending almost all of her timeMax/AR/life charms. Plain life charms will do too.

Why do folks seem to insist on a plus 3 bow skills gmb when looking to make faith if the skills bonus is negligible...Extra skill always helps plus it's expensive RW so why not make it into a good bow maybe it ends up being perf?

Why do people insist on +3 GMB/Mat for faith? because people are stupid

people on b.net are especially stupid, on a whole new level of stupidity

it grands another ms arrow which is usefull in pvp and it gives a whooping dmg bonus of about 10 dmg:jig:
but overall its just a waste since a 4 s 3 bow sk bow costs a ist and 1 bow skill about 2 p gems

Well some people are stupid... while others are just perfectionist. I am not stupid and I know quite a lot about Amazon skills, and I still paid high on a 4so GMB with +3 Bow skills, made a Faith on it and it came 15/2. I bet I would be kicking myself if I had made it on a plain 4so bow.

The +3 skills, while not being stellar, are still quite useful for some extra arrows on Multiple Shot, and a little bit of Strafe damage. The saved points on Multiple Shot can be added to passives, which in turn improve damage a little more.

Do I detect a level of unhappiness on Bnet? Hmmm....

Play much single player lately?

Maybe they will use the bow to play a elemental zon?

And nowadays you need to make it in a +3 because like omikron said, people are dumb when it comes to pvp zons...

for elemental zons there are better options ice for frostmaid and hoj for immu zons

single player? i would be using a trainer to give myself items within 5 minutes of realizing that most builds in single player fall apart when they hit nightmare/hell (except casters)

offline d2 since the beginning and online d2 since 1.04

yes i regard the whole of b.net to be comprised of stupid brainless whining egotistic 14 year olds, and with some rare exceptions i think i'm right
