Ok, haven't tried this yet so don't flame. But just wanted to kind of bounce some ideas off you guys for a zerker barb I might make...
Stats on this build might be a little different, depending on the feedback I get I guess. May need to spend extra points in dex to get max block% out of Phoenix.
Skills:
Berzerk: max
Battle Orders: max
Mastery: max
Whirlwind: 10~ (your preference...)
Shout: 1-max (depends on how dmg crazed you are I guess)
Nat resists: 1-5
Inc. Speed: 1
pre-req's
Equipment:
Now this is where I think this build would be fairly different from the rest, especially being that it is item dependant (what build isn't) and fairly expensive.
Helm: Arreat's (Ber'd), no question, just no beating this helm for it's usefullness with everything (can get away with buying low ed stuff too since you'll be walking around with 0 def most of the time)
Armor: Leviathan 25% DR (socket with 40/15) Normally would go with CoH or even fortitude here but I think you really need the DR for this build, and since we won't be getting it from Stormshield, gotta get it from the armor. Might be able to get away with CoH though.
Amulet: Highlord's is probably the best unique amulet for this build, if you can find a better rare, or craft a better one then congrats, if not highlord's is the best bet. (angelic set if you want to try this in pvp)
Shield: Phoenix, I chose phoenix for 2 very obvious reasons.
1)It has insane enhanced damage
2)You get redemption aura (Yay!)
If you can kill stuff quick enough with your berserk then redemption will take care of the lack of life/mana leech.
(stormshield as backup if you want to try pvp)
Weapon: EBOTDCB would probably be the best weap for this build, it's really fast got gobs of damage and damage to undead, 30 all stats etc etc if you don't know what it's got by now.....
Grief would be the other viable option for this build since it has nice deadly strike mod and ignores target's defense, not to mention amazing 1 handed damage.
(echoing weapons on switch)
Gloves: Laying of hands, since we can't leech anything who could argue with more attack speed and doing 350% more damage to demons while you're at it?
Rings: Ravenfrost (duh!), highest dex/ar you can find. I'd keep a bunch of rings in your stash for different occassions, dwarf star for act 4, wisp for those damned souls, nice rare with +20 str/dex and all resists.
Belt: Verdungo's, lots of life and DR, nuff said.
Boots: Goreriders or Treks if you must, but gore's are definately better here, the faster you kill the better.
Charms:
Barb Torch, aim for +/- 15/15 stats on it
6x warcry lifers
Anni
and as many 3/20/20's or 20 life 2nd mod sc's you can get to fill your inventory
I think you should end up with a killer barb going with this equipment. I've never made a zerker but I've always wanted to, just got my frenzy barb to lvl91 so I figure it's time for a new char.
