Aiming from long range

anybody has or knows a specific guide on aiming lightning bolts or fireballs, towards the enemy in pvp?

if i put my mouse cursor over the little X in the automap and spam on it, will it work as clockwork? or does it requires good precision aiming on the little X in the automap?

The minimap and the field are not perfectly aligned, so just clicking on their x won't work in most cases. The x just gives you an idea of their general direction, and if they are desynching, not even that. Best way I've found to hit people with long range spam is to fire a one left of them, one right, and one middle. Mix it up so they don't get used to a pattern or try to "train" them into dodging a certain way, and then have fbs/whatever waiting for them when they do.

In the end, if the other guy doesnt wanna get hit by them, he won't, but anyone can make mistakes, so random spam towards the other guy can be useful, particularly if you are out-geared or he can out-tank you. There should never be a time where you are offscreen from the guy and Not firing Something.

learn to tele lock. Anyone can run and spam with a sorc.

Fast Tele in and namelock FB/Lightning. Do NOT chicken out, unless opponent is a BvC or such, but then why would you tele in a BvC's screen? Keep atleast a screen away and spam on such chars.

If they outtank you by 2+:1 hits locking them is pointless unless they suck, in which case, you can use whatever tactic you want to win. I'd like to see you win against mikes charger by using tele lock for example.

With a sorc, not a nec. Obviously prison > chargers. You could tele on him and ww too, but that doesn't address my point either.

The point is, Sometimes you have to rely on long distance hits to win. Fb sorc vs charger for instance. Not everyone has a nec to use.

sometimes i even camp in houses and spam telekinesis on zons lol(brought their life to a half), and they ran and heal.

but the trouble is, i want to know how to aim from long range since in most duels i feel the need to use long range shooting, and so far Rauth is the only one with concrete advice ;).

Just practice. Thats pretty much how you get better at anything. Absorbing melee chars make great target practice. Its kind of funny to see them struggle to hit you while you hit them with 1000 fbs to no effect. Keep in mind, the minimap is just a slight guide to where they are, since desynch makes you appear differently then where you actually are. The more you duel, the better sense of where they are you will get.
