Paladin "Ghost Glitch"

I dont know if this is just me, or whether this is old news and i just havent heard it, but my paladin has a problem. Hes a smiter, and when he dies, half the time he doesnt respawn in town, instead he pops up as a "ghost", without equipment standing over his body. Like im able to run around and stuff, but i cant interact with nething, and ppl cant see me on the map or see me running around. Is this a glitch or sumthing? or like a corrupted character file? i play on UsEast nl, its really wierd, i think im going to remake my pally. I just tested a new one by making him die in the den like 11 times in a row to make sure he didnt "ghost." its like a pain, cuz every time it happens i have to leave the game and rejoin to get my body and equipment back..

Ne1 have ne idea at all what is going on? and can you fill me in cuz its really wierd lol. Thanks.

I've had this happen a couple times. I'm not really sure of the cause, but I don't think it's anything major. Since that has happened, I've played another 40 character levels with him and had no problems. I think it's just one of those "freak occurrence" type of glitches.

I have never had taht happen to me until 1 week ago.

I have a lvl 87 fanatic zealot pally, using his 1pt smite for ubers, and last week i was using him to get organs. I was in the Furnace of Pain (Uber Izzy), and halfway through an O knight casted IM on me (I hate that, they always do it in the middle of ur zeal!!), and the same thing you're describing happened!!

I had no equipment on, i was naked, and standing right above my body where i had just died (didn't have to press "esc" after i died). I could type and chat, but the monsters didn't recognize i was on the screen, although i could run around them. I quit and reentered the game, and all was well. hasn't happened to him since... but ya i found that pretty weird myself. This has only happened to me 1 time out of the hundreds i've played htis guy though... i have no idea why it's happening to you every other time.

It's called the Zombie Glitch. It's not new. Happens when you a sliver of life left and you get hit and drink a pot or regenerate life at the same time. It' rare but I've had it happen a couple times to my Barb. The only way to fix it is like you said, rejoin or make a new game.

Ok, so im going to go test this, thanks guys. Btw, lol, i was doint uber izzy when it happend to me last, it doesnt happend to me every time, but it happens enough, i guess im always just drinking health at the right time .. lol. Thanks for the help

It's not usual now I would say, as early as last ladder season my shocker got pk'ed and ran around like that until I would exit and come back in. There was also another bug where all the characters(on battle.net, not open net) went completely invisible in a pub duel and no one could figure out wtf was going on.

I love this glitch though. I use it as a alternative to find uburs without them OK's on my back

die at begining of the generals chambers and find the uburs while ghost form.

hell ive even trailed behind in a game of hide and seek with my mates. its hella funny. I told them exactly where he was all the time. 3 hours till all 7 of us where killed lol
