Hi I want to make a singer that puts everything into vitality. I want him to be able to solo anywhere in the game including Uber Tristram (haven't figured that part out yet.)

Anyway I have a few questions, please:

1) If the barb is holding Brand runeword and ctc Amp activates, will Warcry do more damage? If so, will they still be stunned while under Amp?

2) Does Amplify stack onto Howl? Taunt? Battlecry? Warcry?

3) Is it possible to get 200% FCR on ladder while wearing Enigma? If so, how please?

4) Finally, let's say the singer does about 2K Warcry damage (or 4K for a monster with 0 PR if Amp works), and let's also say that he has 200% FCR. How much damage is he doing per second? Or, how many times can a 200% FCR barb cast/second?

Thanks for help!

For uber trist, I think I have heard some forumers talking about the 1 point frenzier (similar to the 1 point smiter). Just WC alone won't ever cut it since they regen 16k life/second if you don't hit them with OW. They also have very high life (650~660k). So, in theory, it will take forever. In actual fact, it won't, since meph is most likely to eat you alive.

You won't trigger CtC amp with WC. The only way to get it to work is to actually shoot the arrows.

Amp stack with WC. I think the other ones are more like curses, and amp doesn't stack with curses (I can't be sure though).

25 frame/seond divide 7 frame cast = ~3.5 casts per second

Thanks for the answers! But Brand runeword is 35% ctc AMP when struck and not on striking. So I was thinking this would be useful for a singer especially (or really any close-combat character) because his main attack sort of needs the amplify boost.

I know there's a merc weapon that casts decrepify but amp is better for a singer because everything will be stunned so the slowing of decrepify isn't that important.

So I'm wondering if the barb just holds the bow and waits for the Amp to trigger (won't take long) it would be an invaluable "switch." Level 14 is quite a large radius, and it essentially will double the warcry damage.

Do I have this right? Also, I need to know if a 20% FCR ammy can be gotten on ladder as this would determine whether a barb could achieve 200% FCR while wearing Enigma.

I hope it does work because if a singer does 2200 Warcry damage, it would be 4400 while amp is activated. So per second physical damage would be 3.5 times 4400 which is over 15,000 per second over a cluster a monsters. Not too bad eh?

You need to check out a skill planner. For 2200 average damage you'd need a level 53 warcry (I'm not even sure thats possible with 200% fcr). It should also be pointed out that the mana cost per cry is 62 at that level. Now I don't know about you but my singer has 1.5kish mana and with 220 mana a second it doesn't last very long. Hell, an insight merc can barely keep up with that.

First, yes you will need a insight merc of some kind, 200fcr isn't needed for pvm IMO, 105 is fine, you'll lose too much damage going for 200fcr.

I don't like the 'ctc amp' idea mainly because it needs you to get hit without a shield and then switch weapons back to your main.

For PI's I would suggest 'Gimmershred' or 'Lacerator', and as for Ubers, you'll have no chance, apart from not doing enuff damage you'll run outta mana in a few seconds after your insight merc dies.

Thanks for the responses! Yes, I think you're right about 105 for PVM, 200 would cost a lot of damage. I still get 3 casts/second at 105, so I only lose .5 I think. I still think I'll try the brand idea because the level 14 AD is a nice large radius/duration.

Lacerators are kind of clumsy, you need AR, CBF, and it's hard to go with base dex/strength to throw them. The merc weapon reaper's toll is nice and would likely be the default damage booster, but in tougher fights the brand might be a nice option.

I'll have so many hit points (every point into vitality) that it's not likely any monster will do too serious of a dent before the amp triggers, and when it does they can't move anymore :D

It will be easy to switch because you can cast once holding bow to stun, then switch at your leisure.

For equipment I was thinking:

Delerium plus 2 barb plus 3 warcry/shako/rare =7
Maras or plus 3 Warcry ammy =3
2 Hotos/Wizz spikes =6
Enigma/COH/or maybe even Trechery? =2
2 Sojs =2
Arachnid Belt/maybe Verdungos if I can get 10 or 20 FCR on Ammy (is 20fcr possible on ladder?) =1
Trang glove/mage fist
Waterwalk/trek/or rare boots
Charms: anni, torch, some skillers =13
Battle Command =1

The above set-up gives a possible level 55 warcry, which comes to 2300 damage, but you probably would want to pick-up things and have a cube and scroll books while hunting, so a level 50 warcry is likely a more practical level, which gives about 2100 damage.

I have some equipment ideas/strats about ubers, but I'll build this guy first and see what happens.

Well I guess 'Brand' would be about as clumsy as 'Lacerator' so its worth a try, tho I wouldn't use 'Delirium' and 'Brand' together...you'll get morphed often, shako is probably better anyways (huge mana).

The rest of your gear looks fine, tho 'Treachery' adds nothing for this build IMO.

Best of luck attempting Ubers with a singer, it takes ages to kill hell Baal with mine (level 46 warcry) so I just don't see it being possible.

Very fun char to play tho...best of luck

I wish you the best of luck, although I am quite sure meph will eat you alive.
